aware of some potential coding options that are especially relevant to
geriatricians. Specific topics that will be addressed include: how coding
relates to compliance programs and documentation guidelines, understanding
physician and member appeal rights (knowing when to appeal a claims denial, what
is a provider appeal vs. a beneficiary appeal) and the role of the Carrier
Medical Director.
